Brad Hoefs is a pastor and the founding and executive director of Fresh Hope for Mental Health.  Brad and his wife have two adult children and four amazing grandkids. Creating has always been part of Brad's life.

"Art for me is an escape from the day-to-day of life.  I'm a creative person and the need to create is just part of every day for me.  I like to use all kinds of mediums and different approaches. My work is expressive, colorful, and intuitive.  I paint feelings and expressions as I'm feeling them.  Many times you will see either words or lines that look like words which is probably an expression of my life as a pastor.  Words matter to me.  I also have found great joy in creating one-of-a-kind blessing boards for clients. Blessing boards are blessings and the names of family members along with a special prayer written just for that family.  So, it ends up being the written word on top of other written words and looks like lacework on a solid color. When I'm working in my studio I feel like a little boy who is oblivious to the world playing and having a lot of fun!"
