David L. Biehl

David L. Biehl DVM Dave was born on a farm/ranch north of Lexington Nebraska. From a very early age he wanted to be a Veterinarian. In 1976 he graduated from Kansas State with his Veterinary Degree Dr. Biehl practiced his whole Veterinary career in Hasting Ne until 2015 when he and his Wife Cindy moved to Elkhorn NE. He and his wife Cindy have 3 married children and 4 grandchildren Dave began sculpting in 2003. Why ? Because he was always drawn to art but especially sculpture. He is self taught and is drawn to movement, detail, and emotion and it certainly shows in his sculptures. Dave has done over 20 monument pieces and over 60 table size sculptures and has bronze sculptures in several museums, schools and parks, including Henry Doorly Zoo, The Children’s Hospital in Des Moines IA. Dave currently works part time at Main Street Studios in Old Town Elkhorn in West Omaha.
