In 2008 Maria began her journey with clay.  As a psychologist recently retired she specialized in the treatment of trauma and torture. Maria finds working with clay to be a creative, fulfilling, and restorative practice. Whether she’s at the wheel, working with extrusions, or building by hand, she finds inspiration in cultural traditions, nature, and the expressive use of color.
